OUR MISSION
We are a community-based service, whose mission is to deliver
affordable, nutritious meals to residents in the communities, located
in the 44146 zip code.
HISTORY
The Southeast Clergy Meals on Wheels program is the result of a
committed group of Faith and Community leaders who set out to serve
nutritious meals to residents in the communities of Bedford, Bedford
Hts, Oakwood, and Walton Hills, Ohio. Our volunteer led program began
in 1976 and has been housed at the same location since the beginning.
The Southeast Clergy Meals on Wheels is a non-profit organization
(501(c)3). Our program receives no government funding and is reliant on
the nominal meal fees and donations from local Churches,
organizations, and generous donors.
Our meals are prepared and delivered by MOW volunteers. We offer 5
meals a week, served Monday through Friday. On Friday, we send an
additional refrigerated meal that can be heated on the weekend. Our
volunteers make every effort to make a connection with each person
when the meal is delivered.
The services have grown to include support for our clients who have
pets through our partnership with PetSmart. We provide pet food,
limited veterinary support, and treats on a quarterly basis.
In addition, we are able to deliver monthly shelf stable food boxes to
clients (age 60 and older) who are eligible, based on income levels.
